What are the SRDSM base standards of operation?
Recycling Standards: SRDSM recyclers are contractually obligated to our principles of responsible recycling which include assurance that hazardous electronics materials will not be incinerated, solid waste landfilled, exported to developing countries, or processed by prison labor. SRDSM recyclers are contractually obligated to undergo SRDSM auditing to ensure recycling compliance to SRDSM principles SRDSM recyclers agree that their best efforts will be made to ensure plastics that contain BFRs may not be used for food containing products, toys, clothing, jewelry, etc…. SRDSM recyclers agree that all devices containing memory will be responsibly destroyed, or wiped according to NIST SP 800-88 or equivalent industry standard, such that pre-existing saved information from previous product owner/operator will not be available for further access.
