What are the traffic volumes of the neighborhoods bordering Abernathy Road? How will the capacity River Crossing be reflected in the planning and design for Johnson Ferry and Abernathy Roads?
Traffic counts have been taken at all streets along the corridor. Existing counts and 20 year projected counts will be presented to the CAC on October 8, 2002 and provided at the PIM when a concept is recommended. These projections are based on historical trends, anticipated development/redevelopment in the region and other factors. The 20 year project traffic is determined with and without the proposed river crossing, however in general, the addition of the river crossing causes traffic volumes to be reduced by 10-12%. Specific street volumes are available on this web site. What are the designs proposed for the intersections? (a.) Johnson Ferry and River Valley (b.) Johnson Ferry and Abernathy; (c.) Brandon Mill and Johnson Ferry/Abernathy; (d.) “In-town” Johnson Ferry and Johnson Ferry /Abernathy? (e.) Will Wright Road/Long Acres be cul-de-sac as it is shown in previous plans? Will there be a dedicated turn lane from Johnson Ferry to Riverside Drive? (f.) Where will median “cuts” be
