What Are the Treatments for Huntington Disease?
Huntington’s Disease is a hereditary degenerative disease. The disease begins with subtle changes in coordination, involuntary movement and trouble thinking clearly and eventually impairs the patient physically and mentally to the point that he must rely on others entirely for his care, according to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA). Unfortunately for people affected by Huntington’s disease, there is no treatment that will cure or reverse the condition. However, some treatment options can successfully suppress the symptoms.
