What are WoW Mods?
These are modifications that a player creates that change the game. Below is a list of some of the popular wow mods and what they do: • Omen is a threat meter. Members attack group members on the fact that they look threatening or not. • Auctioneer keeps a track of prices in the in-game auction house. It gives you hints on prices for items you wish to sell or if items you wish to buy are at a reasonable enough price. • Atlas gives you a set of maps which show dungeons and flight paths. These are NOT included in the standard game. Wow mods are created using the Lua script language. When you download a mod it just looks like a folder full of random files. Some of the files are in Lua format and others are in XML format. Or even TOC format (table of contents). To install a mod, you just need to move the whole folder to the correct location on your hard drive. • Mac: /Mac HD/Applications/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns • Windows: C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns This
