What can be done with rabbit manure?
Rabbit manure is simply the easiest to use and most sought after manure available for the organic gardener. It’s popular because it can be applied directly to plants without burning, contains a well balanced N-P-K ratio, is in pellet form, has low odor, and is rich in organic matter. I have used rabbit manure in flower beds, on vegetable gardens, around new plants, and broadcast over my lawn. Rose gardeners go crazy over the stuff! When selling, I sometimes place it in an empty feed bag and sell it for $1.00 a bag. Or I invite the organic gardener over to fill his/her pickup truck for $15.00. After they fill their truck and hand me the $15.00 for the opportunity, I ride down to the feed store and buy two more sacks of rabbit feed and a soda for all my hard work !
