What can i do about the bridal shop the i ordered my 4 bridesmaids dresses from?
There’s not much you can do in 6 days time. If you can prove that that’s what your order is, go in and speak to a manager. Explain very carefully to them what the problem is, and make sure you stay cool and collected. Explain to them that you feel that you deserve a discount, or that you shouldn’t have to pay for one or some of them. Most bridal places will be willing to work with you if it was their mistake, for the sake of their reputation. However, if they be difficult, and refuse to work with you, I would just tell them that you want to take them to court, and that might scare them a bit. The one thing to remember though, is DO NOT take the dresses from them until you have an agreement with them about prices, and it would be best to get them on paper. Good Luck.
As another poster suggested, be nice and pleasent about the situation. It will be easier to deal with them because they will be more receptive to you. That doesn’t mean you can’t be firm with them. Don’t leave with the dresses until you are happy with the solution you have come up with. I’m sure the store is going to have a “first offer” for a discount when you walk in, beacause they know they screwed up. If you don’t like the offer be pleasant and professional and negotiate. I don’t recommend threatening to sue. It’s An empty threat (are you really going to speand all the time and money to sue them to get not even your court fees back in cash a year after your wedding?) my mom used to own a bridal store and brides tend to be over dramatic when it comes to dresses and bridal stores hear “then I will sue you” like once a week. You have a really good case to get a discount or possibly a free dress, but if you get worked up and threaten to sue them, they are going to shut down any willing
Can you prove your order was for 1 Tangerine and 4 Fuschia? If yes, then ask the shop how they are going to make it up to you. Or if you can find alternate dresses elsewhere then get your money back from the shop (or sue them for it) and go for the other dresses. Honestly, it is probably too soon to order dresses elsewhere so you would be forced to go to a department store to try to find them. If you have to go with the wrong color dresses you definitely deserve a discount – – but you HAVE to negotiate that with them before you take the dresses.
