What Caused Noahs Flood?
Asteroid Eros No one knows for certain what actually caused Noah’s Flood. It is difficult to imagine a world wide flood and therefore many people believe that the Great Flood was nothing more than a severe rainstorm that resulted in a local flood. The Bible seems to describe vast worldwide destruction that eliminated all land life on the earth. Here are a few examples from Scripture that describe the degree of destruction that resulted from the Flood (emphasis added): Gen.6:13, 17 (NKJV) 13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 17″And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die.
