What causes throat infection
A throat infection often starts from post-nasal drip or liquid that seeps down from your nose in small amounts along the back of the throat. This flow starts to irritate the throat and at that point there is a place in the throat for bacteria to take hold. The drip starts from sinuses reacting to something. The drips is usually a cloudy white liquid from what I saw on a diagram at a doctor’s office. Often you don’t really notice the Post Nasal drip until your throat gets affected. Antihistimines can stop that drip which may spare your throat if an infection has not already taken hold. So first comes the drip then an irritated area in the back of the throat then the actual infection.
