What cleaning products can cause damage to PVD finishes?
More than you might think. Industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, can cause damage. So can the abrasive surface of green Scotch-Brite® heavy-duty scrub sponges. Before using any new cleaner, you should always read the instructions, contents and cautions on the product’s label. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and also those that contain hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids or caustic agents. Manufacturers of cleaning agents always have the prerogative of changing their formulation without notice. As a result, Peerless Faucet does not endorse any specific cleaner.
