Sahel Kamezi Recently Bought Gun – The woman whose body was found near that of former NFL star Steve McNair had recently bought the gun found at the scene of the shooting, Nashville police said. Nashville Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Don Aaron told reporters Monday investigators have determined that Sahel Kazemi, 20, purchased the weapon Thursday night, CNN reported. An autopsy Sunday determined that McNair, 36, died early Saturday of four gunshot wounds, two to the head and two to the chest. Kazemi died of a gunshot wound to the head and investigators found a semiautomatic pistol near her body. McNair’s death has been ruled a homicide but Aaron said “the police department is not classifying Kazemi’s death, pending further investigation and interviews with persons who knew her and McNair.” Among those being interviewed is a former boyfriend of Kazemi’s, Aaron said. The wife of the former football player, Mechelle McNair, didn’t know her husband was having an affair with Kamezi until their bodies were found lying together, said Mike Mu, who has done charity work with McNair. McNair was found dead on July 4. He’d been shot four times. Assistant medical examiner Feng Li confirmed Wednesday gunpowder residue was discovered on the hands of Kamezi. She was found with a single gunshot wound. A gun she had purchased two days earlier was under her body. Further test results on the weapon and toxicologies are still pending.
