What color depth and resolution is the game capable of?
So far the game will default to 800×600 resolution with support for 640×480. The color depth has not been confirmed yet but it will be either 16 or 24 bit. Erik Bethke wrote- “We have played SFC at higher resolutions (1024, 1280) and it looks pretty darn cool. But there are minor problems with the interface panels. Most likely, we will allow the game to be run at higher resolutions but there might be minor graphic rough edges that you would have to deal with. The official resolutions 640 & 800 is what we are committed to. We have chosen not to commit to do higher resolutions as a priority issue.
