I see that you’ve asked this question more than once with zero response. The colors in this kitchen are more reminiscent of a Christmas theme. If you really want to make a difference remove that back splash before you make any plans to paint. Patch with drywall mud, sand and paint the back splash and walls a lighter shade like OC-17 from the Benjamin Moore collection. If you have the budget select a natural stone and glass random mosaic back splash with a warm grout. I’m sorry if I offended you by suggesting the back splash be removed, but I have the advantage of first sight or first impressions and that back splash is just not workable and I see you becoming very frustrated with it wasting time and money trying to make it work.
