What concessions as to routing are made to preserve mature trees roots and major vegetation?
The contractor can usually find a way to go around or underneath tree roots. Each location is different so it has to be looked at to determine the best way to minimize impact. Hand digging instead of machine dig also minimizes impact in small areas. SDG&E will also try to minimize impacts to vegetation.
