I don’t know where you live, but you have a few options. You can import a Japanese console, which will play Japanese games. If you live in Europe or Australia, this might be a problem unless you have a NTSC compatible television, as Japanese (and American) consoles both are designed for NTSC format. You can buy/import American games online, if your local selection is dismal. Or, in the case of the PS2 at least, you can use a mod chip to modify your system to be region free. While this is possible for other systems, your 360 will never be able to use Live again, and I’m not sure what countermeasures Nintendo has for the Wii. I wouldn’t suggest modding any of the systems, but there’s plenty of information regarding the PS2 at least. As said before, the PS3 and DS will play Japanese games just fine.
