What continuing education is available – allowances and accessibility to ongoing education?
• A Professional Development Allowance is provided to enable Dentists to attend conferences, seminars and the like for the purpose of advancing or maintaining their professional knowledge and skill. Paid study leave is available. • The Department of Health & Community Services provides on-going education in many relevant areas to Health Service Delivery. Also it has a range of scholarships available. • The Australian Dental Association brings two interstate guest lecturers to the Territory twice yearly and often has visiting guest lectures at their bi-monthly meetings.
