What costs DOES the calculator cover? What costs are NOT covered?
The calculator looks at a range of costs associated with education: • Tuition and other fees • Living costs (whether your child lives at home or away) • Meal plans The calculator does not cover any costs for buying books, supplies, transportation, personal costs or entertainment. You can get help organizing those costs using our budget worksheet.
The calculator does let you explore three different types of fees or costs: • Management expense ratio (MER) • Load • Redemption fees The calculator does not cover any service fees a fund company or dealer may charge. These include fees to open an account or annual RRSP administration fees. Those fees have to do with your account, not a specific fund.
