We recommend that all students read materials appropriate to their age, grade and reading level. That said, for: Elementary students o Books may be read by the student or read to the student o Picture books o Comic Books o Graphic novels o Short chapter books o Nonfiction books o 50 pages of a longer novel or nonfiction book will count as one book / can not combine pages from different books o Magazine articles Middle & high school students o Picture books if read aloud to a younger child o Short stories o Magazine articles / newspapers o Comic Books o Graphic novels o Nonfiction books o Novels & Nonfiction: 50 pages will count as one book Contest Materials Posters, Logs, Bookmarks,& Flyers will be provided by OKCPS We are requesting that each school supply at least $100.00 in prize money (activity fund, Book Fair, PTA, etc.) We are seeking outside funding also the more $100.00 prizes a school can award the better!
