What do aviation maintenance planners do?
They are resposible to ensure that: Each part that has a calendar or life limit is changed within the prescribed time limit. Every maintenance check due by aircraft hours is performed within the prescribed limit. Each AD that has to be terminated or re-inspected is performed within the prescribed limit. Every task that requires a part must be coordinated to make sure tha part(s) is available and at the station where the maintenance is scheduled to be performed. Every task that requires special tooling is reviewed and the tool is made available at the station where the task is to be performed. Using the parameters above, schedule all maintenance tasks, including any fleet comapigns, reliability reviews, and routing maintenance tasks into one package for ease of control. Ensure that every single task is printed and accounted for priot to giving the to production control.
