What do I do when I get the message: “The WORDsearch server appears to be offline. Please try again.”?
This message means that your computer cannot connect to our server. Make sure you are connected to the internet. If you are connected to the internet, close WORDsearch 8 and try disabling your internet protection, anti virus scanner and/or your firewall program. Most of these internet protection, anti virus scanner and/or your firewall programs, have an icon in the system tray (in the lower right corner of your screen next to the time). Right click on the icon and choose Disable or Open the programs Control Center and disable the anti virus scanner and/or your firewall there. Then, open WORDsearch 8 and try again. If you experience any other problems or error messages updating WORDsearch 8, visit our WS8 FAQ web site for common errors and their resolutions. If you still need help, please call our Technical Support Department at 512-835-6900.
