Marie McLaughlin has been an active member of the nursing profession in a number of community and hospital settings for nearly two decades. She has nursed in maternity, acute & chronic paediatric wards, early parenting centres and community child health settings. Marie holds a Master of Nursing (Paediatric, Child and Youth Health Nursing) with both acute and community strands. Marie is currently employed as a Child Health Nurse in the West Moreton Health Service District and a Nurse Researcher in the Royal Children’s Hospital & Health Service District in Queensland Health. These concurrent positions facilitate her enthusiasm for evidenced-based practice, paediatrics, child health and breastfeeding.
