What do parents do if their child is going to be absent or late?
ATTENDANCE PHONE: 488-5401 ABSENCE FOR ILLNESS OR EMERGENCY – When student is absent from school: parent/guardian must call the attendance office before 8:00 am (Phone: 488-5401) on the morning of the absence. When calling in an absence, please leave the date, name of student, student ID, and reason for absence. PRE-ARRANGED ABSENCE – Advance notice should be given to attendance office with dates and reason for the absence. The attendance office will provide a Pre-Arranged Absence Assignment Form for the student to have completed by his / her teachers. TARDINESS – Any student who is late for school must report to the Kinard main office to receive a class entry pass. In order to receive an excused tardy pass, a student must have a signed written note, or a phone call from the parent/guardian indicating the tardy is for an appropriate reason.
