What do Sea Apples (and feather starfish) eat?

Sea Apples will need to be placed in a mature tank with an area of high flow. Foods designed for filter feeders are best for them (my favorite is Coral Frenzy). Feed them small amounts daily, or at least every other day while your pumps are turned off. Just be cautioned that Sea Apples can release very toxic compounds when stressed or dying that can kill all of your livestock. They are also sensitive to sudden changes in water conditions, so be sure to keep your water quality high. Feather Starfish have basically the same nutritional and tank requirements that the Sea Apple has. Just feed them a plankton-based invertebrate food. Be sure to research each animal carefully before placing it in your tank. These are the kinds of questions you should ask before buying, to ensure that your aquarium is suitable to house such species.
