My standard inspection report covers all the major systems and structural elements of the house. This includes the condition of the homes heating and air conditioning systems, plumbing and electrical systems, roof, foundation, attic and visible insulation, walls, doors, windows and all visible structures. I will operate all accessible components just as you will once living in the home. There are limits to what a Home Inspector can access. Homes are not taken apart, furniture is not moved about and areas not safe to access are not entered, to name a few examples.
A standard home inspection will cover, at a minimum, the roof, attic and visible insulation, walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors; the foundation, basement, crawlspaces, and structural components; interior plumbing and electrical systems; the heating system and air conditioning system (temperature dependent). A visual survey is made of the grounds for rainwater drainage properties.
