What Does Chronological Mean?
The word chronology is derived from Ancient Greek words ‘chronos’ meaning ‘time’ and ‘logos’ meaning ‘the study of’. Chronological therefore means the arrangement of something in the order it happened in time that is relating the sequence from the earliest event to the latest one. In other words events are put in the correct order that they occurred or took place according to time. For example if a football player went to his practice match on Tuesday the first day, then on Friday and lastly on Sunday. It would be listed chronologically as Tuesday, Friday, Sunday. Hence the sequence of events occurring are said to be written in a chronological order.
