What does it mean when a group has multiple names with dashes between them?
Groups are hierarchical. That is, they are organized in a way that is similar to the way folders on your computer are organized. The dashes are used to show the hierarchy of groups in Business Connections. To demonstrate, let’s say you’re a Professional MBA (PMBA) student. You might belong to a group that is: Students ** Masters ** PMBA This means that by being a member of the PMBA group you are also a member of the Masters and Students groups. If someone at the School of Business sends a message to the Masters group, you will receive that message along with all other members of the Masters group, the MBA group and the PMBA group. However, if a message is sent to the PMBA group, only you and the other PMBA’s will receive the message.
