A5: Basically, it means that either the output voltage of the alternator is lower than the output voltage of the battery or the output voltage of the battery is lower than the output voltage of the alternator. You can identify this problem by increasing the rpm (revolutions per minute) of the engine by pressing on the gas paddle while the vehicle is parked. If the red light of the ALT or Battery indicator gets dimmer, then you most likely have a problem with the alternator. In contrast, if the red light gets brighter, then most likely is a bad battery.
