What does NASA have to do with global climate change?

NASA instruments, data, analysis and modeling contributed significantly to scientific reports on climate change issued by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) — work that was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
