Scholastic are a childrens book publisher who publish reading books for primary school age children. Level 1 scholastic books are suitable for entry level readers just beginning to learn to read at around the age of 4-6 years old. Scholastic level 1 equates to Guided Reading level D(USA Grade 1-2) or DRA (Developmental Reading Level) level 4.
