What Does Telecommuting Mean?
Telecommuting is when you work from home using a computer, telephone and/or the mail system to complete work assignments and communicate with your employer. One of the great benefits about telecommuting is that you can work for a company that resides in a completely different city or state from where you live. Telecommuting provides many benefits to both you and your employer. Take for instance, you won’t have the issues associated with commuting back and forth to work. If you are a parent you can remain home for your children, and have the freedom to set your own work schedule. As a telecommuter working from home you can set your own hours, and make the same if not more money than you would make working in an office. Some telecommuters initially keep their current job and supplement their income by working at home part time for a company. The decision to work from home full or part time is entirely up to you.
