What does the bumper sticker of a blue shield with a white C in it mean?
The U.N. International Committee of the Blue Shield is a group concerned with care and preservation of the documentary heritage of countries and cultures. They’ve published quite a bit on exactly what their concerns are, but in a nutshell they try to preserve important documents in the face of wars and other disasters that destroy what the committee sees as cultural assets (as opposed, say, to financial assets or other documents).
