What exactly do Hackers do?
I know there is some huge debate about whether to call blackhats crackers ot white hats hackers, but I don’t think the normal person is going to care. Hacking is generally a mindset. You will find most hackers are people who want to know more about a certain subject. Not all hackers are bad by any means. They are definitely a subculture of people. They have their own magazines, clubs, meetings, and lingo. Hacker: Most people see these people as the ones who break into computer networks. They may do so, in order to steal information, or even just to see if they can do it. Security processional (known as a white hat hacker): These are the good guys. They go out and help secure networks from real hackers. They use a lot of the same methods and techniques that a hacker would use. Most large companies have a security team in place to secure the network from the outside world Phreaks: These guys hack phone systems.
