What exactly is non-Euclidean geometry (in the most simple of terms)?
I think Lovecraft meant a bit more than just simple curves. He meant that many unnatural things follow their own unique laws of geometry. This is said to be a profoundly unsettling sight, often to the point of driving those who look upon it insane. In reality, our Universe is largely non-Euclidian anyway, because practically everything is curved. There are even non-Euclidian buildings created by Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona, Spain.
