What exactly is the difference between molecular biology and genetics?
molecular biology covers a wide range of processes. it the study at the molecular level (meaning molecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, membranes, etc. genetics usually covers genes (which means related to DNA), diseases, or can be population genetics. molecular biology is used by some people to study genetics. sometimes the lines get blurred and someone who says their a geneticist is doing the same thing as a molecular biologist. molecular biology and genetics can both contribute to the understanding of evolution. evolutionary biology is not really a large field.
