What funding schemes are available to encourage local companies to embark on electronic commerce?
There are several funding schemes available to local companies, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to help these companies venture into electronic commerce. IDA provides direct assistance to the industry in the form of funding through grants and collaboration projects. Another scheme is the general R&D grant administered by the National Science and Technology Board (NSTB). The R&D grant is given to projects that meet the criteria of new technology development, or have significant technological innovation content, including electronic commerce projects.
