What happened to the text-only version of the Guide?

The primary reason for having a text-only version was to provide a low-bandwidth version of the Guide for older browsers. But most images have been removed from the new version in favour of tables, and having only one version makes it far easier to maintain the site and add new content. If you have a specific reason for wanting the text-only version of the Guide brought back, please send me an e-mail listing your rationale. And please don’t tell me it’s just because you like using the first version of Mosaic or Netscape 1.0.
