If you bought your holiday from an ABTA member, and they can’t fulfil the contract, they will give you a refund. If you bought your holiday from someone who’s not an ABTA member, you’re still entitled to your money back – but you may have to go to court to get it. If they mess you around, write to them and tell them they have a choice: 1) They can give you a full refund 2) They can make you an offer of a holiday at no additional cost to you, subject to you accepting it. 3) They can have a day in Court, pay you compensation and lose their ATOL licence.
