What happens if I dont meet the deadline to drop a class?
After the fourth week of classes, you may still withdraw from the class, but you will need your instructors signature on the drop/add (change of schedule) form and you must be passing the class. You will receive a “W” on your transcript. After the eighth week of classes, you must file a Late Change Petition in order to withdraw from a class. You must be able to document reasons why you did not meet earlier deadlines to drop or withdraw in order for your petition to be considered. You may pick up the Late Change Petition in Douglass 101.
