The ISS Desktop protector element of Internet security pack is constantly monitoring all IP traffic to safeguard you PC from unauthorised intrusion. Should it discover an attack, then Desktop Protector will attempt to block the hacker and record details. If necessary, you will be notified of this by the Desktop Protector Icon in the system tray (on the bottom right of your screen); it will flash if any suspicious activity is detected. The colour of the flashing icon is indicative of the severity of the incident. “Suspicious” activity is indicated by a yellow icon, “Serious” is shown by an orange icon and “Critical” is denoted by a red icon. Double clicking on the icon will open the full Desktop Protector application; right-clicking on the icon will open a sub-menu.
