What happens to the current Lewes Pounds that are valid until August 31st?

0

Up to and including August 31st: • You can still use the current Lewes Pounds as normal. • You will also be able to exchange them for the new notes after their launch on 3rd July • Or redeem them for £1 sterling. While you won’t be able to spend your old notes around town after August 31st, you will still have until September 30th to exchange or redeem the old notes at one of the issuing points around town. The issuing points are currently May’s General Stores, Frank Richards Butchers, Lewes Town Hall and the Lewes Pound stand at the Farmers’ Market (first Saturday of each month). We will also be letting this be known in the local press, through the website and by email to various mailing lists.
