What happens when I upload a document to Scribd?
After you upload, we convert the document to our slick Flash viewer format so that it can be viewed inside a web browser. We also convert it into several downloadable formats, including PDF, Microsoft Word, and plain text. Additionally, a unique document number URL is created for each document and this remains permenant throughout the life of the document, or until the title of the document is changed. The conversion process makes no changes to the content of the document.
