What has been the rate of return to investors historically?
A. It varies. Usually 2 to 5 percent. Regional centers promising outrageously high returns — such as 15 to 30 percent — are probably investments that are too good to be true. Then again, an investment project offering a 2 percent return might be a much safer and more secure investment.
