What has changed about the EEI/SED process?
The newly revised regulations require all EEI filings to be made electronically using AES; paper SEDs and External Transaction Number (XTN)s will no longer be accepted. Once the EEI filing is approved by AES, an Internal Transaction Number (ITN) is returned as proof that the filing has been accepted. You will need to note the ITN on your DHL shipment air waybill.
