What has cooperative gameplay opened up to parents who like to game today?
Chris Zimmerman It’s great because there are lots of different styles to play co-op. I remember when my kids were really small, my lovely intelligent wife would play one of the Zelda games, Ocarina of Time, and my daughter Anna would just sit and watch her because she just loved seeing it. She loved having the story play out and now there are things like Lego Star Wars and Rock Band that we can play with our kids. Video games are a great way to really have some fun with your kids. You’re on equal footing, right? You’re playing, they’re playing. While you’re playing a video game together you’re a peer and that’s really rewarding as a parent. So much of my time is spent telling them what they can and cannot do or trying to help them grow as kids, that it’s fun to actually just kind of be a kid with them for a time. Video games are a great way to do that. It’s fun for them and it’s fun for me. It’s fun all around.
