If the required hardware cryptographic devices are not available, some of the IBMJCECCA services can fail. In such cases, there is no failover capability. In other words, if the hardware needed to service a request is not available, the service will fail. Unless the application making the request does its own failover, there will be no retry invoking a software implementation of the same service.
