What if my dentist only uses tooth-colored (resin/composite) filling materials for restorations?
United Concordia pays for resin/composite (tooth-colored) fillings on front teeth and amalgam (silver) fillings on back teeth. If a tooth-colored filling is placed on a back tooth, payment is made for a comparable silver filling. The member is responsible for the difference between our allowance and the dentist’s actual charge.
