What if the connecting telephone line is interfered with?
A tamper switch is in the main controller. When turned on, the siren would be activated. When the system detects interference with the connecting telephone line. The siren sound can only be stopped by the restoration of the line. An unceasing blaring sound should distract and put off an intruder. The external connecting phone lines of most new homes are now run underground making it almost impossible to be interfered with. This means a burglar would first need to gain access to a home with a De Alarm system before having any chance of tampering with the phone line. An exposed external telephone line is even only vulnerable to tampering when placed at a low height. With good security precautions including arming the system when necessary, a burglar should finding it difficult beating the system.
