• Ensure the Radiometer Window is clean and unobstructed, ensure that the VELcap is clean and ensure that the patient-side window of the VELscope Handpiece is also clean. • Next, check that light is being emitted by the Handpiece by following these steps: • Check that the LSU power cord is properly connected to the LSU and to the power outlet. • Point the VELscope Handpiece at a visible surface and depress the thumb Push Button on the Handpiece.
