A noise disturbance program, if approved, will meet all requirements of the licence issued under the legislation that protects threatened species. The noise disturbance program used by the Botanic Gardens Trust in the 1990s proved to be very successful with no injuries or deaths to flying-foxes being attributed to the disturbance program.
