What information and documentation is necessary to get an interpreter paid?

0

The indigent defense fund pays for interpreters for indigent defendants only. We do not pay for interpreters for work done in assisting law enforcement investigations. Although the court-appointed attorney may submit a claim as part of the attorney fee claim, claims will be paid more expeditiously if the interpreter submits the claim directly. In order to get an interpreter paid, we need an original invoice or signed copy of the interpreters itemized services, a copy of the court order appointing counsel, and a copy of the court order approving the interpreter.
