What information should a stressor letter contain?
The VA will tell what details letter should include, but keep it focused on your actual combat experience where possible. You may find it useful to consider the following points when determining what to include in a stressor letter: Name, rank, service number, dates in the war zone. Include your MOS, as well as any MOS you served in in Vietnam. If you received a Purple Heart, include the date(s) wounded. If you were treated for malaria or other illnesses, include basic details.
